Le champion du monde U23 s’est engagé avec l’équipe Team Visma Lease a Bike. Trois jours après avoir remporté le titre mondial lors de la course en ligne, Niklas Behrens a en effet officialisé son transfert.

Un transfert qui pourrait bien alimenter la polémique, puisque Behrens faisait partie de la Devo de la Lidl – Trek.
